  2. Why not translate openid.net for hundreds of languages?

The OpenId.net, only in English, not is soooo open. To have a real global range it's need to be translated for many others languages.

  3. Recognize sites that both provide and accept OpenID

Recognize sites that are both APs and RPs by creating some sort of official designation for those sites that do this. It is good for OpenID if sites both accept and provide OpenID because users can eliminate credentials in more sites and are free to choose which provider they want to use for their credentials and are free to move them at will.

  4. There should be a openId link to change, and correct your personal information, or update your

There should be an openId link to make changes to your personal information,or to update your account, and profile when necessary. I should be able to change whatever information I do not want to display at random.

  5. Providers should allow others providers OpenID to be used on their sites

As an example, I've registered with google gmail, so I have an OpenId account from google. Let say I want a Yahoo email account, and I want to use my OpenId from gmail, well I don't see any option for that from yahoo.

Some providers give the option to use existing OpenID but hidden in very small print. Competition I guess.

All these defeat the simplicity mention by openid in the first place.

  7. Provide an automatic validation service

My OpenID server is accepted by some Websites but not by others. You should provide an automatic validation tool that tests Websites that use OpenID as well as OpenID servers (providers) for correctness.

  10. do i really need to use external library or plugging to support openId ?

I tried to read specs, but would read all that?
Open Id should provide easy and obvious protocol and explain it from abstract.

  13. Gobbledegook

You may choose to associate information with your OpenID that can be shared with the websites you visit, such as a name or email address. With OpenID, you control how much of that information is shared with the websites you visit.
I wonder what any of this means.

  14. Where is "create ID" button?

You get to this page by clicking "Get an ID" yet there is no way on this page to get an id. Why don't you just allow creating an ID, like it says?

  15. I want to read more about security

There is very little information on the site about the security of OpenID. I believe that there are big potential problems with identity theft if someone can login on a lot of different sites with one ID.

Additionally I want to know how I can be sure I'm actually logging in on an OpenID enabled site. How can I see that I'm not being scammed into giving away my username and password to a host of very personal sites?

  18. Alternative login format in the form username@domain.com

Rather than requiring the user to input a very long URL (or in my case copy and paste my address), OpenID could allow for usernames in the form:

    username@domain.com

The OpenID relying party would look up an XRDS document at http://domain.com/openid.xml to find out how to translate that format into a normal OpenID formatted username.

  19. You need a test login to verify an OpenID (such as from Yahoo) works

If a person establishes an OpenID from a provider, it's hard to know if it is working. Finding sites that use OpenID is not trivial.

  20. The "Where can I use it" (http://openid.net/where/) does not reveal an answer to the question asked.

I have an openid but I cannot use it anywhere that counts. Clearly this is true because the link above does not show anywhere that I can use my OpenID. What has to happen for Google or Yahoo or Facebook to accept MY openid, not just their own?
