OpenID works also for offline forms
An OpenID user is asked to fill an empty paper form with personal data (at the gym, at the bank, at the video club, etc).
He just needs to fill the OpenID field and asks the Form Owner to just request online OpenID details for his user.
The Form Owner goes online and submits OpenID a request for personal data for that User.
User receives the request, indicating the fields the Form Owner needs, and he accepts or denies them.
Form Owners could also be warned when User changes any of those personal data.3 votes -

Universal Account
I had an idea for a website that allows a user to login to any website with a single account and then I found OpenID and realized someone already beat me to it. But I would still like to offer my idea to expand the service and bring it to a wider audience.
As Facebook has proven, people like sharing what they find on the internet and they want others to know what they are doing. With that in mind I had the idea to create a service that allows you to create a profile that will display your various…

A widget with a list aswell as/or a ajax auto prediction box so people type in the OpenID partie, e.g. google and then it takes to googles OpenID url and then have a database with all OpenID providers, or adlest the ones that want to me one there.
I think this would make it far easier and it would catch on alot better then !

pURLid
pURLid is a superior system to OpenID and has many more benefits to the end-user least of which is total security and control of the ID.
We have a patent pending for our invention but are offering it to the community (and OpenID) for free.
We have repeatedly contacted the OpenID team but are being ignored. Why?
We are now challenging OpenID to a live debate upon which solution provides the greatest benefits to the end-user.

Thanks, we’ll get right on it.

Provide a logout ability or only authenticate with provider
This is one of the major security flaws I have found in the OpenID platform. Users are not properly informed that they are (not with all providers) being logged into their OpenID providers site as well.
The session for the site they originally logged into is controlled separately from the provider. This leaves their main account open to be abused.

Why not translate openid.net for hundreds of languages?
The OpenId.net, only in English, not is soooo open. To have a real global range it's need to be translated for many others languages.

Recognize sites that both provide and accept OpenID
Recognize sites that are both APs and RPs by creating some sort of official designation for those sites that do this. It is good for OpenID if sites both accept and provide OpenID because users can eliminate credentials in more sites and are free to choose which provider they want to use for their credentials and are free to move them at will.

There should be an openId link to make changes to your personal information,or to update your account, and profile when necessary. I should be able to change whatever information I do not want to display at random.

Providers should allow others providers OpenID to be used on their sites
As an example, I've registered with google gmail, so I have an OpenId account from google. Let say I want a Yahoo email account, and I want to use my OpenId from gmail, well I don't see any option for that from yahoo.
Some providers give the option to use existing OpenID but hidden in very small print. Competition I guess.
All these defeat the simplicity mention by openid in the first place.

Provide an automatic validation service
My OpenID server is accepted by some Websites but not by others. You should provide an automatic validation tool that tests Websites that use OpenID as well as OpenID servers (providers) for correctness.
