  2. Restructuring the Library-Page

I like to add OpenID-support to my website with PHP and MySQL. However, my provider doesn't support PEAR DB, so I can't use janrain "PHP OpenID Library". I miss something like "Requirements" in the Library-Page (http://openid.net/developers/libraries/)

EasyOpenID is based on janrain, which might also be interesting and should be mentioned in this section.

By the way, http://www.saeven.net/openid.htm ends in a 404 error.

  4. Bitcoin addresses as Open ID

I think Bitcoin addresses should be a form of OpenID, for the sake of anonymity and privacy, and to prevent people from stalking.

There should be an openId link to make changes to your personal information,or to update your account, and profile when necessary. I should be able to change whatever information I do not want to display at random.

  9. Scheduled Login Access

In the openID profile a user should be able to setup a schedule when the ID can be used. If I know I only ever browse the web between 10pm and 11pm then the rest of the day my id will not work.

Of course loggin into the openid website itself should be an exception.

  10. After point 4 have a (BIG) link to go somewhere, e.g. "see if I already have an OpenID"!!!

After explaining how it works, point 1, 2, 3, and 4, why leave the reader in the middle of no-where???
First thing one wonders after reading is whether or not he already signed up somehow. That's the first thing you say on your homepage "Chances are you already have an OpenID but don't even know it! No problem — we'll walk you through using your OpenID for the first time." NOT TRUE
You inform about how to use it, once you know you have an OpenID, but you don't give any hint how find out if you actually already have…

  14. OpenID should not promote JanRain RPX

JanRain and RPX keep showing up throughout the site. This company is shown as the only example of a SAAS solution to openid. In effect you do not need them and can easier use one of the free packages. We were tempted to use them and they have been billing us for months now and there is no way to cancel the payment. Our bank told us that they have heard of more people having issues with them.

Stay away and remove them from the OpenId website.

  19. Using Open ID with corporate business

When opening an account, whether it is for buying a car, applying for a loan, opening a new cell phone contract, you always have to complete several forms. In addition to this, you also have to provide proof of employment, proof of residence and other contact details.
My idea is to introduce OpenID to corporate businesses. They can have an internet based application (customised for their purposes) whereby clients provide them with the identity number, social security number, or any other form of identification. The corporate business then requests through their application the client’s details from OpenID. OpenID sends a…
